I have tried lots of different foods,  if you follow the directions on the bag they all seem to do a reasonable job.

It seems to me that the when you buy the cheap food you have to give the dog far more than some of the more expensive brands.  I suppose that is because of all the fillers they put in it.

I give my dog IAMS

There is no "best" food. Each dog has different needs and you should understand the needs when picking the food.

"Cheap" is tempting but like all other things in life you pay for what you get.

Hear is an interesting view on the subjust of dog food:

Cassy,
I agree with you 100%

I have seen 60lb bags for $20 yet you are lucky to get a 40lb bag of IAMS for $32......go figure.  We give our dogs a daily supplement.  We use NuVet Plus.  It is more expensive than most but does a good job.
